“And we end right
where we started:
there are many things
in life that we desire.
We desire beauty
and pleasure and power
and security,
and there are many
people and places
where we can get
glimpses of this.
But they will not
be the real thing.
Wisdom teaches us
that these things can
only be defined
by the God who
invented them,
and that to be wise
is to seek after God
more than these things.
When we do this,
Wisdom will give us
more beauty and
pleasure and power
and security than we
ever imagined, it just
won’t look like we thought.
But it will be real,
and the whole world
will want what we have.”
